Program`s modular composition significantly improves reliability because all units work as independent software. If one module freezes, other parts continue running. For instance if the `capture` module fails, `watchdog` starts again it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing video via a `playback` unit. The program performs `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be activated by motion, human face recognition, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote computer through Web interface. The program performs simultaneous video playback for event examination from many webcams concurrently. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
